Has anyone had any experience with this yet. Considering getting one?

I've got one, it's the one with the laser. It's awesome.

Smooth trigger, nice finish, shoots 5 inch groups at 25 yards with my shakey hands and cheap ammo.

It's the first gun I've ever bought that I didn't modify (though the front sight might not be so lucky...)

Just picked one up today. Non laser version.

Already put 150 rounds of Speer 135gr +P GDHP thru it.

The stock Hogue grips do a great job of soaking up the recoil, but by the end of 150 rounds I was like

150 rounds of +P's through an air weight snub?  In one day?  Dayum, I'd be like
too.

I got mine a few weeks ago for my b-day.  Still need to post pics.....  I shot a box of Speer Lawman +Ps through it and loved it.  It is pretty thumpy but nothing I couln't handle.... the wife on the other hand, shot it once and said "Fu*k that, I'm just gonna shoot my G19".

I don't have one yet, but am starting to seriously consider one.
A friend got his LCR a few weeks back and we've been shooting the heck out of it.  As of yesterday, round count of the LCR is approaching the 2k mark.  It really does soak up recoil better than the J-frame.  I don't like the trigger pull near as much as on my 642... but that is probably more about me being used to the J-frame from years of use.

I've intentionally put at least 100 rounds a range trip through the LCR. Yes, it is punishing to shoot a snub that much, but it really is noticeably easier to control than the J-Frame.

I don't know if I'd be comfortable replacing my 642 with an LCR just yet for daily carry, but it is growing on me pretty quickly.  The fact that I've even begun to consider carrying the LCR in place of my 642 says a lot in my book.  My only worry at this point is the polymer "fire control group" wearing prematurely and allowing the lockwork to get out of whack... I'll go ahead an guess that given time, that worry will prove unfounded.

I just got my LCR recently, but haven't even shot it yet.  Lord, it's ugly (.... but strangely, it's also pretty in a functional way).    I've also got the LCP.  I just can't resist Rugers.  Where's me one those new fangled SR556's ?

I just got my LCR and love it. It has a bit more recoil than my S & W 442 even with its larger grip. I believe this is because the frame design places your hand down
lower than the S & W.

I also think my 442 is a smoother gun but I know that this Ruger is built like the other Ruger wheel guns I've owned (built like a tank). I considered a LCP but I've been through my share of small auto's that I can't trust my life on. Both of these small wheel guns always go bang.

After about 75 rounds on either gun I've had enough. Lastly, I love the classic Ruger barrel.

I'm in for one after the recall.

I am thinking about getting one for the spousal unit.  She prefers revolvers.

Edit:

I had the wife look at one at a gun store while she was in Anchorage and she really likes the LCR in comparison to small autos and a S&W revolver she tried.  She said the trigger was really easy and smooth and she liked the weight and grip.

Looks like a winner.

We are talking about the LCR here. The LCP is the recall.

I picked up a LCR yesterday primarily to use as a mold for holsters, but i've got to admit it is very possible it may take my S&W 340PD's place in my pocket.

The trigger is miles ahead of what S&W puts out and the gun just feels right in my hands.  I really love my 340PD how it's setup with a set of CT 405's though so only time will tell.

I know what you're talking about, I was being facetious considering Ruger's track record with new releases. To put it plainly.....I'll buy one after they've been out long enough to prove that they'll hold up.
