I was watching American Rifleman TV this morning and they were discussing the LeMat Revolver.  It got me wondering if anybody has produced a modern version of this revolver.  Cabelas sells a reproduction in .44 caliber, but I would love to see a modern cartridge version of this firearm.  Ideally, I'd love to see a version of this in .44mag and 20ga.

Unfortunately that would be an NFA item.  No shoulder stock, so it would be an AOW.  That limits the marketability.

I could see it in 357 mag and a 410/45colt combo

it would be legal ala the judge

That's a good point, I hadn't thought about the .410/45lc combos.  It would basically be a revolver with a single shot .45lc barrel underneath, with a chamber that just happens to allow the .410 shell to fit.

The only reason the judge is legal is the rifled barrel. They simply made the cylinder and chamber longer so it could also handle .410.

Rifling + shot loads = crap.

Sounds like good justification to shoot the shit out of it until the rifling is warn out, then shoot it some more.
