Anyone know if there is a 5- shot .45 ACP revolver?  My gunsmith had a moon clip for one in a misc parts box and it got me to thinking.

I carry my S&W 325PD in the winter and something a little slimmer would be nice. On the lines of the 396(?) 5 round .44 Spl.

Taurus model 455 was a 5 shot .45 acp snubby.  Discontinued unfortunately.  It was available in both stainless and Titanium.  Also Taurus typically ported most of them. (I hate ports)

Charter just announced a 5 shot .45 acp snub with a medusa style detent under the extractor for rimless cartridges.

I'd prefer moon clips myself, but it's certainly intriguing.

If S&W made one of those without the lock I would buy it today in .45 ACP.

Didn't S&W make one on the L frame?  I don't remember the model number.

As far as I know, that was a 696/396 chambered for 44Rem Spl.

I have a Freedom Arms 45 ACP with an octagon barrel. It weighs more than a scoped rifle

That Charter Arms looks cool but how would you reload?  Fumble with lose rounds?
