My wife just bought me a Smith model 29 .44 mag. It's got factory wood grips on it, and I think I'd like to go with rubber instead. My brother's 629 has a Hogue Monogrip on it, and I don't like it, as the backstrap is partially exposed, and it's not as comfortable to shoot as dad's Anaconda, which has full wraparound (Pachmayr?) grips.

My question is, what grips should I get? Personally, I like Hogue, but I don't want a monogrip. I'd like a full wraparound, preferably with finger grooves, but the finger grooves are not absolutely required. Advice?

Sure is...and Brownell's is out of stock on N frame square butt grips! Maybe Midway has them--I need to order from them anyway.

Thanks for the advice.
