Goto the S&W forums and do a search, no not here, but rather here, smith-wessonforum.com/eve/forums Old Pinned & Recessed N-frames are on the rise. 500-600 will likely see that gun GONE within hours on a board where collectors/shooters alike are known to reside. I have no problem going up to 750-850 on older P&R S&W N-frames depending on what model they are and provided they are blued in good condition. But that's simply because I live in Ca. having to deal with the stupid approval bill and discontinued S&Ws not being on that list. Also, many more people out there are coming to the realization that the older S&Ws are absolute VALUES. In many instances S&W simply does not offer comparable features, finishes, or hasn't offered the model for many years and when S&W does offer the model it's too damn expensive to warrant buying when an older S&W is available for 1/2-3/4 the price. You mention you have the wood case, if you have all the tools plus original cardboard box, I'd say start at 650 and then if it's not gone within a few days drop it 50-75 bucks. |
