Went ahead and picked it up. Ending up paying probably $50-$75 more than I should have, but the 686 no dash's aren't that easy to find in my area for whatever reason. She's a classic, and a keeper. Definitely added to my "not for sale" list. With a revolver like that you are not paying to much, you're just buying it a little early. A year or so from now, it'll be a good price. Buying it now, you at least ensure you get it rather than betting on finding another nice one later - and later is often later enough that you end up paying what you thought was too much on the one you passed up. |

Allow me to opine the "no dash" adds some value, perhaps another $75 or so? While $750 certainly is no steal, it's by no means a rip-off either. If it's 98%+, I would think long & hard on it. But then again, I AM a sucker for Smiths............
Swap these grips on it & it will really speak to your heart, IMO. http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z114/bobsgunsUSP/grips.jpg Quoted:

Thanks guys. They want $750 for it, so will probably pass. Allow me to opine the "no dash" adds some value, perhaps another $75 or so?
