I've been offered a S&W 19-3 for my Sig 229 SSE in .40. Neither are brand new.  I've never owed a revolver but pictures look good. FTF so I can ensure quality when I see it.

I just don't enough about the S&Ws - GB has prices all over the place.

Neither party is 'attached' and just want a new toy!

Thanks.

Depends on the barrel length and either blued or nickel finish. Honestly I'm a Sig and S&W revolver guy and I've owned both of these and I would keep the Sig.

I don't care for .40S&W guns but I frickin' love revolvers.

I think your Sig would value more though in the trade.  Definitely not an even trade.  Good luck on your decision.

correct, other trader would have to throw in 100 at least to make it fair. 19-3 (we didn't catch the barrel length) go for 500-700 (700 being near the tops with all box / paper work)

Now if it was 27 or a 29.. it would be more reasonable for a straight up trade.

Thanks all!

How about a 4" Dan Wesson 357 (I think series 15 from the pictures)?

worth less or around the same as a 19-3. For that trade to work it needs to be a colt mrk III (super clean) or a s&w model 27 / 29

This is coming from a revolver guy.
