Hello Fellas,

Think I did pretty well here but not certain how well and would like the opinions of the crowd.
I just bought a USFA Rodeo in 45 colt and I believe it's around 3" barrel.
I know that the company was well know for putting out a great product and to my understanding, 'the' colt copy.
The gun is in great shape, hardly appears to have been fired. There's one scratch to speak of on the cylinder otherwise it's pretty minty.
Payed just over $433.
What say you??

Would post pics but I suck at it. Could email some if somebody wants to help out.

You did well.  Their "clones" are arguably the best non-Colt SAA made.

Their price was right up there with the Colt SAA because the manufacturing quality was comparable to the Colt.

The last Rodeo I saw for sale was close to $900 with slight wear to the muzzle.  You got a great deal.

if you head over to singleactions.proboards.com you will find a lot of good info on them. A very knowledgeable group over there. You did very well on it. I paid $450 for mine with a 4 7/8 inch barrel. It really depends on the model how much they go for. Like this one, kind of rare as the price would indicate

Thanks for the help guys.
That forum helps quite a bit and I now realize that I have the matte shopkeeper with the
3 1/2" barrel. Seems like it's valued pretty darn high, but I think this one will have to be pryed from my cold dead hands.
Thank you guys!

I miss USFA.

I stripped the bead blast off my Rodeo and had it case hardened/black chromexed and engraved by Gary Reeder, he fire blued the screws and trigger too. Inspiration was based on Russel Crowe's "Hand of God" in "3:10 to Yuma".
The guy who made the grips for the movie gun (Joe Perkins at Outlaw Grips) made my grips for me

Fuck the Zip gun

You gotta by pulling my leg...  That's too beautiful to have started life as a rodeo.

I can't imagine how they have survived after starting up that zip gun POS.  I don't know anyone who's bought one, they can't be selling enough to make it worthwhile.  USFA, would be wise to dump that ridiculous zip abomination and start making SAA style guns again.

I agree, but to quote, no paraphrase their former sales manager: "(The owner) figured out the most expensive way to manufacture a revolver, and kept doing it."

Not that it really matters because I think people would buy them regardless of the price.

I'd REALLY like a Rodeo myself as a working gun, but I just can't justify paying upwards of $1000 for a revolver for which there are no replacement parts.

Joe Perkins is an absolute artist....he has done two 1860s and an Uberti Cattleman for me...the guns are gorgeous, will get some pics up Saturday!

Yup...underneath that horrid bead blast is a beauty queen waiting to come out!
