Hi all,
I picked up a R8 M&P the other day. So far I like the gun very much, however I have a few questions about it. As with all guns there are those with horror stories of the gun on the net and was wanting a little feedback from people who used them in the community. 1. frame damage due to it being scandium + alloy(frames cracking, horrible wear around cylinder. 2. Barrel spanner nut coming loose( after a quick trip to S&W the issue is fixed and no longer is a problem is the most common response I've seen. and does anyone know the size of the spanner wrench so I can have one on hand. The other question I had is if the alloy frame is such a huge issue with this gun, can a SS or steel frame be purchased if there is a problem to be fixed. Thanks to all who have input! -Gus |
