Hello boys and girls.  After seeing the pics of the 625 revolvers it finally drove me to find one.  I traded into a dash-8 yesterday made in 2008.  The revolver has hardly been shot but there are few things that I want to do.  Here is a list:
Get some more mood clips
Load the 500+ pieces of AR brass I have had for a few years
T/A job (who should I use)
Remove the safety and plug the whole (where do I find the guy who has the plug replacement)
Grips (Ahrends more than likely)

Thanks for any  info.

The Ranch brand moon clips are made from spring steel and are tough as hell.

They go for seventy five cents to a buck apiece.

And where are the pictures of your new 625-8 revolver ?

You can get the ""Plug" from the S&W forum:

The "Plug"

I got my steel full moon clips from Sportsman's Guide. I also was given a dozen of the plastic "Rimz" full moon clips and they work pretty good for range use. Very easy to load and unload.

Let's see some pics of your 625!

Mood clips, I guess I was moody when I typed that or it was an attack of the fat fingers on the small key board

The grips on the revolver is nice but I really like the Ahrends or checkered Speigels.

I will get some pics tomorrow after school.  I had hoped to do it today but the light outside was already settled by the time I got home.

I fully intended to ditch the laminated red, white and blue, grips that came on my Performance Center  625-8 but after shooting the gun I'm going to leave them on because they fit my hand so well and I found them to be so pleasurable to shoot.

I do think that a nice pair of Ahrends grips would look better though.

Talk with the folks at Ranch Products if you're looking to buy more moon clips. They're clips are as good as they get and they are fantastic people to deal with.

Congrats on the 625, they are wonderful!

Dillon precision sells moon clips and tools, and I think Brownells does too.

Nice werewolf gun, but I think he had two.

I love the 625. It's my next wheelgun, barring a 5" 610 showing up.

Well I worked the trigger/action over and got it all smoothed up.  I tried shooting with the JM grips that came on the 625 but could not get used to it so I found a set of rd bt/sq bt conversion grips at a show this weekend––-love the feel of the retro cokes.  Now i need to get one of the safety lock buttons and more clips so I can have a lot more fun at the range!
