| New to this site. Buddy sent me here. Does anybody know where or if I can by 700 grain rounds for my 500? I do not re-load and want to buy ready to decimate rounds. |
| I have never even heard of 700grn bullets??? I don't even think they make anything that heavy for that caliber. But this shit will tear something up: http://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=98 |
Of course you can get 700-grain loads. Ballistic Supply sells them - $2 a round if you buy a box of 50, which is a pretty good price![]() Here's one of my favorite videos of a guy shooting the 500 with a 700-grain bullet: ![]() Buffalo Bore is good stuff, but there are hotter loads to be had. Doubletap makes some stout rounds for the 500. 350 grains at 2000 FPS (over 3000 ft-lbs, compared to the 2500 ft-lbs of the Buffalo Bore), and 500 grains at 1500 fps. I like the 350-grain loads because of the muzzle flash. Here's a pic of a buddy shooting mine: ![]() |
