I was wondering if anyone has ever had this done on their 686, and how good was the work?  I like my 686 pretty good, but the trigger is a bit inconsistent in places throughout the DA pull and could benefit from some smoothing.

It's a Smith not a Colt so if you dry fire it ALOT it will get better and you can work on your trigger control.

Well, that's certainly less expensive than sending it in.

My trigger control is pretty good.  I just find that the pull is not consistent (yet).

Does removing the accursed lock affect the trigger at all?  I was planning on doing that anyway.....

The lock shouldn't interfere with the feel of the trigger.

I don't know if they still do this, but I seem to remember that the Performance Center used to replace the MIM parts in some of their action jobs.
