I took my LCP to the range for the first time tonight at my local indoor range with 100 rds of practice ammo and 20 rds of carry ammo. I love the way the gun feels in my hand, but...it was very unpleasant to shoot. The recoil was very sharp and after the first 50 rds my hand started to hurt . {I now have a blister in my hand lol.} Then I loaded Buffalo Bore .380 + P ammo in it and fired all 20 rds. It felt like the recoil doubled. Other than the recoil issue, I was very, very impressed with the gun. It is definately a "belly gun" at best but i did quite well out to the 25'. No failure to feeds or eject.
I now have 2 names for the LCP: "The Little Bastard" & "The Noisy Cricket". I will be carrying this LCP in a FIST INC #1a IWB holster and it should conceal quite nicely. Just a little FYI. ~ISherman |

Did you call and ask about that holster for an LCP? Looks like it's not quite shaped right for the LCP... I'm interested if it is... I have a pocket holster on order, but in the end, will probably want to use an IWB on a more regular basis like I do with my Glock 21 (which is a bit bulky for carry IMO). Here's the #1A... http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/1aclipholstercopy.jpg Yep it fits the LCP just fine. That is an example of what the holster looks like with a baby glock. If you check the firearms list, they mold and shape holsters for your specific weapon. If its on the list, they can make any series holster to fit that gun unless specified. It is quite comfortable. I have the #1a for my makarov and Glock 19 too. I love them and they conceal easily. The #1a features the forward cant and IWB heavy steel pants clip. They are then just shaped differently to fit your gun model. Great holsters from a great company. I think after you order your 3rd holster you get a discount on the next order. Hope that helps. ~ISherman |

It's definitly not a range gun, but changing the recoil spring to a heavier spring makes it more comfortable to shoot and your brass doesn't fly 30' in every direction.
Be careful using too much BB ammo since the LCP isn't approved for +P ammo. But for carry...why not? |

OBTW, +P in .380ACP doesn't buy you anything as far as penetration/expansion is concerned. It's a neat gun, but the only way I would carry it is with one of those (legal) wallet holsters. |
