Ok, so I may have put the cart before the horse here...but I recently bought a Ruger Charger for some inexpensive plinking specifically because I saw the Archangel Mod kit by ProMag Industries (that i cant find for sale yet). The website Archangel Manufacturing says that it should be available 2/09 but I still havent seen or heard about it being for sale anywhere. I have seen it listed on other dealer sites but they never have prices, pictures or descriptions...just that it either will be for sale or had been for sale.
Some people dont like it..(i am getting the kit without the iron sights) .but with the 50 round clips, my new Uni-Green Rail Mount Laser by LaserMax, and the custom integral can that fits under the hand guard...i feel it will be purdy pimped out. Im not upset AT ALL. i got my charger new off gunbroker for 200 without the Bipod, (no biggie cause i already have 2)...and i got my Archangel kit for the Charger for 99 new with free shipping on gun broker. once it shows up, (a day or two) i will get some pics and see how it all feels. I already have plans to cut down and thread the barrel so my new can will fit down inside the hand guard.
ON A SIDE NOTE. i read somewhere that it is highly illegal to have a hand gun that allows you to steady it via some sort of barrel shroud or grip. it seems to me that the kit in itself would be illegal then since you are more than able to hold the hand guard since its a free floating one. any truth to that or thoughts? |
