[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Scope Recommendation - Mark III Comp.

I never thought about it until recently. I might be interested in purchasing a scope for my Mark III. I know nothing about scopes. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated. Don't need top of the line. Just something simple and easy to use.

You didn't say whether or not you wanted magnification. If not, check this Burris out. It can be bought with a mount specific to the Mark II/III, so you don't have to use that ugly rail Ruger ships with the pistols. I think I remember seeing it at SWFA for $169.

Yeah....I was interested in magnification. but the Burris looks interesting.

So......with mag, any other recs?

I use a Red Dot (Bushnell) on my Slab barrel Target Mark III, works great.

i just ordered this red dot

for $17.99

the cdnn downloadable catalog says its made in the same factory as the Tasco model...fwiw

it was recommended to me by a guy at the range who had one on his histandard

looked good to me.

it will be going on my mkIII bull barrel...
