I think the easiest and most likely path for Ruger is they'll redesign their FCU to get rid of the cruciform. Much like what Glock appears to be doing with the Gen V series. Redesigning the firing control group of guns has been done many times in Rugers past ala New Model Single Actions, Bearcats, P85's. We'd all like them to tell these blue states to FOAD, but under our current judicial system they're more likely to take the path least likely to bankrupt them and allow them to live another day to sell more guns. |

Picked up a new RXM last week in a trade. Broke it down to clean and found the barrel to be rusting away. Anyone else get a rusty barrel? I'll need to get with CS to get a new one but also thinking of getting a Faxon barrel too. I'm still happy to have one and looking forward to the new grip modules. Anyone know if Ruger is also going to make different slide configurations? |

 I got my RXM late last month Oct. and as soon as I got home I changed to the Magpul black frame. I was surprised it was available at my closest gun shop, when I tested the trigger pull it was nice light and crisp so I quickly bought it. Tested the trigger with my Lyman digital trigger gauge and it averaged from 3.25 to slightly under 3.5 pounds. The next upgrade I'm going to get for it is a smaller size Surefire XC3 light. My other Surefire X300U-A is way to big which I'm using mostly on my other Glock 17 gen 5 MOS. |

Yeah, they should check with the video game and movie industries about how well attacking your customers works. The RXM was announced/released last December. Part of the pitch was modularity, the availability of inexpensive alternative size frames, to take advantage of the swappable trigger group. So you’re going to mock customers about their frustration over your inability to get a core feature of the gun to market until almost a full year later? It’s a pretty lame marketing move to take it to the point of calling your customers soyjaks. That’s got a meaning in the meme wars and either they don’t understand it or they think their customers are cringey betas. Hopefully they don’t cut themselves with all that edge.

I already sold my RXM off. Partially because I got tired of waiting for the full-size grip, but I also found a pretty sweet deal on a Gen3 19C in immaculate condition. And I don't need yet ANOTHER Glock 19 clone. I'll probably pick up an RXM again at some point. |

Got the full size frame in. Overall it feels much the same as the compact one, just longer. It also has a bit more of a flare to the mag funnel compared to the compact. And the surface seems a bit more of a pebble-finish on the areas outside the obvious textured pads, like they gave all the dead space a bit more of a rough surface.

My full size grip arrived yesterday too. It was easy to swap the FCI, and the grip looks and feels great! This is the configuration I wanted from the release, I have a 19X, 19X MOS TB, and this RXM now fills the G45 void. Now I need to figure out which RD I want for it, leaning towards DPP or EFLX, I like the SCS 320 also but the serration angles not aligning kind of triggers the OCD gun ‘tism. I wouldn’t mind a PLX HTX-1 but I’m not sure when those will be available again? |

FDE full-size frames are available on Magpul’s site. Despite my bitching about them, I ordered one since that’s what I’ve wanted since the RXM came out. Now I can add it to my complaining about MCT parts as well since we know that’s the even more superior color.

The ARF message: Get both...  My initial review I cut from another of my posts regarding the full size grip: No shots yet but feels great in the hand. I usually run a Hogue grip over Glocks as it makes them fit my hands better. The Hogue grip slides right on so these are considerably thinner than a stock Glock. Even with big hands, I can wrap around this smaller grip very comfortably. Shooting test will tell the story. I tried Glock, Mecgar and Magpul mags and all fit well. |
