Has anyone laid hands on one of these revolvers:
http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=RUKSSM-4-327 I couldn't see the purpose of the 327 magnum but in a revolver built on the Single Six platform that holds seven rounds I can see the utility of it. I would love to hear a range report on this little guy. |

I'd like to see how it does with .32 Long wadcutters. Would likely make a nice walking through the woods varmint pistol. Problem is, for that money I could get two or three more of these: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/johnrippert/32HandEjector2_zpsa3dcc3be.jpg I put some J-frame Uncle Mikes on this .32 and it points really nice now. Well those don't grow on trees where I come and my j frame 32 is pre heat treat, so I had to get a single seven. Mine has a 4 5/8 barrel. I shot 32 long hand loads with a hand cast 100 lee bullet. 327 with the same lee bullet which leads. 85 gr hand loads full power 327. 32 long Aguila with lead rn bullets. The 32 long loads were the most accurate. Didn't try wad cutters yet. It cost me 650 out the door which is real plenty. I took it apart today and knocked off a few rough edges. Put a real spring in the center pin retainer. Used a dremel with small sanding drum to deepen the loading notch then polished it to look normal. Lost the damn spring and pin for pushing up on the locking bolt and had to make one. Made some tiny shims and made the rear sight non sloppy in it's groove. The retarded warning is on the bottom of the barrel out of sight. No lock. hummm I like it though.

I would love to get one as a woodsroaming/small game gun. 7 rounds of .327 Federal/.32 H&R Magnum/.32 S&W Long/.32 S&W and .32 ACP to pick from. I've toted a Ruger Single Six 5.5" for decades and would love to play and reload for this new Ruger. My .32 dies will load all the above, just need 2 different shell holders for the Rimmed cases and the one Semi Rimmed.
