Was at a trade show today. Got to handle some newish ruger handguns. Liked the 10-shot .22LR LCR but the trigger pull is heavier than the .38 version due to needing a heavier striker spring for rimfire ammo.
But what impressed me the most was how much they have improved the LCP. the bigger sights are nice but the greatest improvment is the trigger. shorter take up and crisper break. Very noticable improvement. |

The Ruger web site only shows an 8 shot LCR. Are you sure it was a 10 shot????? i counted twice but must have miscounted. he mentioned a .22mag as well. maybe .22Mag is 8 and .22LR is 10? I dont know. I have a .22lr and it is 8 shot. I also have some cool 8 shot speed loaders for it! |
| I am most happy with my LCP. I love the size of it. The sights rae more than sufficient for me. It seems that Ruger made an outstanding handgun and everyone wanted it to be bigger. Mine fits in my pockets with ease and that's what is important. I can always carry it with me. I think that at legitimate self defense ranges people should be practicing point shooting and not focusing too much on sights. I have an LC9 too but I most often carry the LCP. I am looking to buy an LCR in .22 long rifle too. |
