I have an LC9 extractor and the extractor shot off of the slide.  I had previously removed the magazine safety and very lightly polished the trigger parts.  The trigger still had a gritty spot prior to breaking.  I sent the LC9 to Ruger and they replaced the slide with a new one and replaced the magazine safety.  Ruger test fired the firearm after the repair at 10 yards and it had a decent pattern with 1 stray about an inch from the group.   The trigger is still the somewhat a crappy trigger but the gritty part is not there.  Are they replacing trigger parts when an LC9 is sent in for repair.   I like the trigger better now but I wish it did not have such a long pull.

Rugers LC9 trigger sucks!    You need the Galloway Precision  trigger upgrade kit.

Or simply sell the LC9 and buy a S&W shield!
