So I have a new 22/45 threaded and I have taken it apart about 10-15 times and I've only shot 4 rounds through it. Now I disassembled it and removed the detent for the slide release. So I know how to disassemble it.  Now the problem is I took it apart again to clean so I can go shoot tomorrow and when I did I just ran a patch in the barrel and went to put it back together this is where I started having the issue. Something got messed up inside and I can only pull the spring housing out about about 1/2 inch and it won't come out any further. It will go down if I force it but when the mag goes in it won't fire. I have an alignment issue somewhere inside. I can't pry the housing out or pound it down. (I didn't put a lot of force into it though because I don't want to break something).

If anyone can help me I'm all ears. I'd hate to have to send it to ruger being a brand new gun with 4 rounds through it.
I'm out of ideas.

I Had the exact same problem with a 22/45 I used to have. Can't remember how I fixed it though.

Did some more research and figured it out. Future reference Insert EMPTY mag and make sure it's unloaded. Then he the trigger and bag the pistol on some wood or carpet with the pistol facing down. Mainspring came out like normal.
