| A friend just bought a new LCR in 38 w/crimson trace for his wife. The gun would be impressive, but there is a rattling noise at the slightest movement. It's is not the cylinder or the laser grip. Do your new Ruger revolvers make noise in their internal assemblies? The gun has not been fired yet and the folks at Gander Mountain (where purchased) said these revolvers do that even though the display didn't. Thanks! |

Thanks guys! A little surprised by this. My only ruger handguns are a MarkII and 44 Blackhawk; they are both solid. Why would Ruger make a more commonly carried sidearm that clanks and jingles when from my experience they are solid in their larger platforms? Has Ruger ever addressed this apparently common issue? At the least it is an annoyance that will impact their sales/value.
ETA - Is there an easy fix to the transfer bar rattle? Or is everyone just living with it? |
