Looking for suggestions for a Kimber suitable for concealed carry. I would like something in stainless steel (ease of care) and reliable with 230 gr JHP ammo. I must admit that their website is overwhelming and I was looking for some help here on where to start. I was at the local gun shop yesterday and held an eclipse and immediately decided that a custom 45 acp must be mine someday....

Thanks!!

I would suggest you take a look at Kimber's compact guns.  Currently they make two:  Compact CDP and Compact Stainless.  Both now have aluminum frames but older Compact Stainlesses used to have stainless frames.

You can also look around to find a Series I Compact as they do turn up every now and again.

I carry a Kimber Pro Carry II, nice size, full size frame is just alittle bulky, but not that bad

I cc a pro tactical II everyday, great weapon. I think any of the "pro" 4 in. guns willl suit your needs. pick one that has the goodies you want and get it.

I highly recomend the CDP line. I own two a PRO full size frame and 4" barrel and an ULTRA officer size frame and 3" barrel. Both have been outstanding for me, drop dead reliable out of the box and very accurite. They have a stainless slide and alloy frame, I know you said all stainless but I allso own a Colt 1991 compact all steel and the wieght differance on my hip is very noticable. I'll post a side by side pic so you can compare the size differance.
