ok I need some recommendations regarding replacement sights
I have a UCII in stainless with black sights ..completely lost them on the(mostly) black target I was shooting at in my last range trip

I'm thinking Trijicons or Meprolights?

anyone have either??
thanks

I ordered my Kimber Pro Carry II from the factory with Meprolights installed.  They are bright and work great in low light conditions.  I also have Trijicons on my Glocks and have been satisfied with their performance too.

The Meps have a nice white ring around the tritium and the rear is serrated for glare...I'm a believer.

I have the Meprolights on my TLE II and they are perfect!
While were on the subject.... does anybody know how long the tritium is supposed to last?

Tritium is a radioactive isotope of Hydrogen.  Technically they last forever.

The half life of tritium is roughly 12 years, that means they are half as bright in 12 years, and 1/4th as bright in 24 years, etc.

Because the human eye response is logarithmic, 1/2 as bright only appears around 3 shaded darker.  Depending on how bright the sights start, realistic lifetime is 10-20 years.
