Just ordered my first Kimber on Gunbroker.com.  Managed to do it while my wife sat on the couch next to me without getting caught 1199.99 price seemed reasonable - range report soon.  BTW this is the first 1911 I've owned since leaving the Navy in '89 where it was my sidearm - I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

Not that anyone's too interested- besides maybe SGB, but I picked up my Kimber Custom Covert Saturday from Woodbury Outfitters in Coshocton, Ohio.  I took it to the range tonight after work and couldn't be happier!  You could shoot the sweat off a fleas ass with this gun.  I could live without the laser (distracting, but could be a good deterrent) but really like the digital camo Crimson Trace grips.  I ran a small silhouette target out to the maximum limit on the indoor rifle range and had all core shots with 2 bullseye shots @ 78 feet  It was nice to shoot a 1911 again after 22 years, when it was my sidearm in the Navy.

Pics, Pics, Pics.

Great looking gun.  The laser, as you know, is something to get used to.  22 years is a long time and I am glad you are back to shooting the ultimate fighting handgun platform.

By the way, you and SBG are going to get me in so much trouble with posting great looking pistol pictures.

Keep safe,

CSP

Nice gun  I just picked up one too. I'm also very pleased with the way it shoots out of the box.

Looks like you did ok on the price too. Did it come with one Pro mag?

One mag, I bought the 8 round mag seperate, but if you load all 8 rounds in it the first round will hang up & you'll have to bump the slide forward with your palm to chamber it.

Very nice gun.  I love my 2 Kimbers, especially how they shoot.

Very cool man, my local dealer has 2 of them in the glass. I really like the looks of it, and if it had a rail, id be sold.

That looks great.  Order some Wilson Combat 47D mags and never worry about mag problems again.
