Took my new warrior to the range today and I am a bit dejected.

My complaint is that the trigger was very uncomfortable during shooting. I noticed it immediately after the first shot. It felt almost like good ole trigger slap from a Romanian Ak, but I suspect it has more to do with the surrations. Whatever it was, after 50 rounds my fingertip was raw and it was time to go home.

The dejection stems from the combination of poor accuracy on my part and a sore fingertip to show for the efforts.

As a disclaimer, I must add that I have shot other 1911s(including Kimbers) and have never had this problem before.

Any ideas?

1st Thought:  I don't believe you, send the Warrior to me and I will test it out.

2nd Thought:  Maybe try a trigger with no serrations?  With my Kimber Pro TLE/RL, I had the sore trigger finger at first but fought through it and now its not a problem.

Toughen up that finger sissy
J/K. Most guys that have this problem find it is caused by the small adjustment hole in the trigger.

After looking at it, I think you are right about the adjustment hole........and my sissy finger.

Look over on 1911forum I remember reading solutions to the problem. I believe there is a way to fill the hole that is temporary.

My guess is you are allowing your finger to loose contact with the trigger during recoil and the constant reacquisition of trigger is your problem.

When you press the trigger hold it throughout the recoil cycle. Upon reacquiring your sights release pressure on the trigger only until you feel it reset and repeat.
