I wanted something smaller to carry in the summer so I looked around and came across this. The Ultra Tactical II. 3" It has a lot of features I was looking for right out of the box. So I pulled the trigger on it. Got it to the range and the slide would lock back before all of the rounds were expended. Hmmm. Called Kimber and they seemed to know that this was an issue and sent me a new slide stop.
The new slide stop arrived and off to the range I went. Well now the thing would not lock back at all. Plus I had a couple of mis-feeds. This was with WWB and Magtech 230grn ball. So I called Kimber back and they wanted it back. Emailed me a UPS shipping label. They said it would be four to five weeks. I was not happy about that. I returned it to them and waited. Three weeks later I got the call that is was on its way back to me. Hey it was better than the four to five I guess. Got it out the other day and it did not have any issues. The invoice stated that the put another slide stop in it and adjusted the frame. They were not as fast as Springfield but all is well that ends well. Here is a pic
