How many P7s are you up to? I keep telling myself I can stop any time I want, but I keep finding myself grabbing up more.

Cannot really call myself an addict but I have one P7, two P7-M8s, and a P7-M13. I must be some sort of addict though since I really do not care for the P7 pistols all that much and darned sure don't like the caliber.

I need to get another one. I had a P7M8 and P7m13...let them both go back in the mid 90's. I would like to get another P7M8.

I've got to say one thing that blows my mind is I wish my M10 had the PSPs mag release. I love the american release on all my other guns but on the P7, maybe because I learned on a psp, I prefer the heel release.

I have one P7M8 and three P7s. For a while I thought I preferred the heel release, but now I'm not sure. The only thing that concerns me about the mag release on my P7M8 is that I think it is fairly easily activated. I use a P7 as my primary carry gun, and I'd be just a little worried I might somehow bump that mag release on an M8 and disengage the mag. Probably just paranoia.

Only two so far both P7 PSP's and I'm trying hard to keep it there for now. I've seen collections of 10 or 12 fairly often. Some guys have it bad.

I found a P7M8 like yours with the small grind off portion on the right hand side of the slide. What is this from? Any idea a fair value on one of these? Slide is also a purpleish color???? Thanks

German po-po trade-ins. I bought one back in the early 1990s for around $599 or so. I doubt it had 100rds thru it before I got it. I could probably get $700-750 for it these days, retail.

The ground-off portion was the po-po internal stock # or some such. Not sure why that was a secret but possibly they wanted to ensure that there wasn't a dupe # floating out there among the unwashed masses?

The slide bears a mark from the German Military Procurement Bureau, and has to be removed before export.linky

What holsters do you recommend that allow a full grip for the draw? Pics would be great.

I have a M8 I bought in 94 for $650, it was a ex New Jersey state patrol, looked like it had never been cleaned. I've put over 3000 rounds through it since. It's just as accurate as ever and I still can nail the 12" steel plate at 100 yards. I love that pistol..

The second on the top row is a Alessi CQC-S very comfy and easy to take off and on but the most comfy holster is the brown Mitch Rosen 5JR (3rd over top row). The Rosen conceals the best and holds the pistol great. Both holsters allow for a full grip quick draw.

Trident, that last P7 is the same pistol as the first picture.
A brand new P7M13 that sat unfired for 12+ years in a dealer's safe.
Had Tripp Research satin chrome it, and added the Nill grips.
It shoots beautifully, and is super accurate.

I love it, but its down and out of the count for months due to a faulty drop safety spring. A local gunsmith tried reforming the spring, which only lasted about three slide racks. I've been on HKpart's email alert for what seems like forever. This was my off-duty carry.

By the way, can anyone recommend a GOOD gunsmith specializing in these? Not some jack of all trades "Universal" gunsmith. Thanks

I cant I've just started looking into these myself but last year or two years ago I stumbled unto "the" P7 forum at the time, maybe try looking there? I don't know if I can list the name here and I don't know much about it other than it was all about P7's, if your not familiar with the site IM me and Ill let you know.

Its gorgeous and that satin chrome and then perfect conditioned nill grips makes it one of the finest looking handguns Ive ever seen.

Do you have any current production HKs in your vast stable and specifically perhaps a 9mm so that you could compare them with.....I would to see that badboy of yours go head to head w. a new HK p30L in 9mm. Thanks for the info as I love to learn about all your collection not just the portions of which I so badly try to copy

Can anyone reccomend a decent company to do the refinishing? My P7 police trade has severe holster wear on the slide.
I've had 1 say "No HKs" and another wanting to charge me double his quote.

If it's a commercial model and not a police trade-in, I don't know what it's worth. If it's one of the trade-ins floating around, I would say $650 plus shipping average for an excellent condition P7 with two mags. That might be on the high side for recent prices.
