Make sure it's in the correct caliber (don't assume 9mm because the P30 also comes in .40 now) and whether it's the standard (4" barrel) or P30L (5" barrel). Make sure it comes with all the grip panel and backstrap sizes. Comes with 2 of each size (S, M, L), totalling 2 pairs of side panels and 2 backstrap panels not including the ones already on the gun.

the only P30 in .40 is the P30S

I've got a Comp-Tac kydex belt holster for my P30 and a Milt Sparks VMII.  Love both of them.

for kydex, look no further than raven concealment or comp-tac.

FIST makes some pretty good leather for the money. of course, there is always the gold standard [milt sparks], if you are that patient.

+1 for Raven Concealment and Comp-Tac's mtac holsters.  I have both for my P30.  The mtac is the most comfortable iwb holster I've found.  The Raven Concealment kydex holsters are OWB but can be converted quite easily to iwb.  If you are in a hurry for a holster do not get a raven concealment.  I waited 1.5 months for the two I got (one with light, one without).  They were definitely worth the wait though.

I don't agree with that.

"S" denotes "Safety" for P30 models and nothing more.

The P30 40S&W also comes in the V2 LEM variant.  I just bought one yesterday.

I just got a P30 .40s today. I will post pics when my camera charges up.  I picked up a Galco pancake style holster for it.  It is for the P2000 but works perfect.  The model number on it is B109T
