I found a local store selling a NIB H&K USP Compact 9mm for $700 + sales tax. I really liked the way it felt in my hand and am in the market for a 9mm, is it something I shouldn't pass up or just a fair price? Thanks!

That's a fair price, IMO. It's neither a steal nor are you getting hammered. These are almost perfect 9mm's, IMO.
