Does anyone own or have substantial experience with this model? What are your likes / dislikes of this particular model? Before I plunk down a large chunk of green, I would like to hear from some people who already own or have used one.
I've had the .40 Expert for many years. It is my favorite HK. Once you get an Expert you will not shoot the standard models as much but you will pump twice as much ammo through it. The trigger is fantastic and the sight radius makes you so much more accurate. Its a pleasure to shoot. As I've stated on other forums the pistol is a favorite of all that I let use it. We regularly shoot bowling pins at 75 yds with it. (no crap). The guys that I shoot with are all experts and have high $ rigs (custom Les Baer, Kimber etc) And they do really like my Experts. I do have a holster and am thinking of shooting an IDPA this summer. If you have specific questions fire away.... I have the 9mm, .40 and .45,
I do not know if the o-ring makes the gun more accurate.... I do know that the precision fit barrel/slide, longer sight radius and excellent trigger make me more accurate. I've yet to replace the o-rings. I clean the gun after each use thoroughly. I'm probably at 8-10 k round count on the .40 w/o any parts replaced. All H&K pistols are accurate.... I've yet to see one that isn't. When you buy be sure that the Expert has the funnel jet and the 16rd mags. Some are not set up that way. Buy extra 16rd mags while you can.
