| Getting a USP compact, I cant decide on caliber. 45ACP or 357 sig. comments, suggestions needed. |
| If it matters to you, the .45 Compact is built on a somewhat larger frame than the 9mm/.40/.357Sig guns. I have, and like, a .45c, but have always thought the best compromise for size, power and ammo capacity (with the full capacity mags, of course) was the .40 caliber. The .357Sig is, IMO, an excellent round, but I think it does best in a longer barrel than that of the USPc. JMO |
| My dad has a USPC in .357 Sig and we both love shooting it. I haven't shot the USPC in .45 but the .357 is very accurate and packs a helluva punch. Of course .45 is much more popular and the ammo is more readily available, if that plays into you consideration. I'd love to get either one myself but can't afford it right now. |

I currently own a 357 Sig Compact. Although I like it very much, It has quite a snap when firing it. I'm still learning how to accurately fire this caliber. I have fired a 45 compact and love it enormously. Currently, I'm in the process of buying one. If I had to do it over, I would buy the 45 first. Mark |
