Does anyone make a heat shield for inside the trigger guard of the PSP (similar to the plastic one that came with the P7M8)?  Numrich advertises replacements but are currently sold out.  I love shooting my German police surplus PSP, but it sure does get hot after 5 or 6 mags!  TIA!

I know of no aftermarket heatshield for the P7 and the P7M8/M13 heat shield may not fit the   P7 because of the slight difference in the size and shape of the trigger guard between the P7/PSP and the M8/13.

Maybe a piece of kydex can be shaped, molded and fitted to the p7 trigger guard.

I just use two PSP's and rotate.

I like your solution, Longhorn!    Unfortunately(?), I just emptied the bank buying one of the ORF Vz58s sold as a SER IV on the akforum.net.

I just spent the weekend shooting my PSP & P7M8. IMO, I only get 2 more magazines out before the P7M8 is just as hot.

Nomex flight gloves solve that issue.

They don't help all that much.

I dont see why they wont, they dont transmit heat.

The so-called heat shield isn't of much use, IMO. The frame above the trigger and BEHIND the trigger still gets hot. The latter area is what will get you. I recently scored two M8s, knew about the heat problem, and STILL managed to burn my trigger finger pretty smartly.

Six or seven magazines, and its time to let that puppy cool a bit. Nature of the beast with P7s...
