| Just shot a buddy's USP Tactical w/ an HTG Cycle suppressor...suffice it to say, it was the coolest thing since boobies. My only gripe is the size of the Tactical, so I'm looking into the CT. HK's website says that the CT has all the features of the full-size Tac...does this include an O-ring barrel and the match trigger? |
| Thanks for the answers! I guess to follow up...how much of an issue would it be to install a match trigger? Without sending the gun off, preferably. The local shipping offices are a PITA about guns. The trigger is a sticking point for me (a 1911 guy) as I previously had a USP45f and ended up trading it due only to the less-than-stellar pull. |

You cannot. Only full size UPS can have the match trigger installed unless you cobble it together and half-ass it by using the stock USPC trigger or cut the match trigger down in size. You are comparing apples to oranges trying to compare a SA only 1911 trigger to a SA/DA combat trigger in the USP/C. You cannot make a semi tractor-trailer into an indy car and you cannot make a USP/C trigger into a 1911. To be honest if that is what you must have it is better to sell your USP/Cs and get a 1911 because as long as you seek a 1911 trigger in your USP/C you will never be happy. Even the Match trigger is an also ran compared to a tuned 1911 trigger. |
| Thanks again for the info...I agree completely about comparing single-action 1911 and DA/SA USP triggers being a silly proposal. I only asked about the match trigger because I found that of my friend's pistol to be completely acceptable. I have no illusions about the trigger of any DA auto--I just thought the Tactical's was the best I'd felt on a double action. When coupled with durability, reliability, price, and capacity it seems to make the USP-T a winner, size aside. I was hoping to get the best of both worlds...I should know better. |
