My wife is looking to purchase another firearm. For no particular reason but shooting
pleasure and carry if she felt like it. She has a few sigs she's upgraded and a 1911 ( that she doesn't like). She mention a different brand and so HK.
We talked about the USP line maybe in compact but are not certain about caliber, since its a polymer the recoil should be intense? I am assuming. What do you think of
a USP/c in 40 or .45 and a P2k in .9mm? I am currently deployed so you imput will be relayed.  I thought that if you have a compact you should get the .40, due to velocity and a little more mass than the nine? For the P2K, she just wants something in a 9mm to plink with and have fun. What are your views? Thanks in advance.

USPc 9mm. Perfict for a lady with smaller hands. Recoil wont be any worse that about any other sig, glock, ect. Plus she can carry more rounds and be able to hit the target with a more easily controlled burst of shots. I have a full size USP9 and love the shit out of it. Get the V1. its sa/da with a decocker.

Good advice given above, IMO............

I add that 9mm ammo is cheaper to shoot, thus she'll be able to practice more.

I'll third it

The USPc in .40 might be a bit much for a lady.  I absolutely love mine for power to capacity to size ratio, but the trade-off is snappy recoil (snappy cartridge, higher bore axis).

The USPc 9mm will suit her well.

Get her to grasp a P2000. She'll find it much better

I'll throw a P30 into the mix.  Because, hey... why not?

I was very busy last night when posting, sorry for my spelling! I would still stick with the USPc 9mm............in V1 sa/da with decocker and safty........you just cant go wrong for a lady with this one. Did I mention I have a USP fullsized 9mm V1. Its better than my OLD G19, and that says a lot
