So I'm going on an USAF "business trip" and thinking about picking one up when I get back. I would like to add it to my XD45 and Colt XSE. For those that own one, how do you like it? How is the recoil compared to a 5" 1911? I really like the way it looks like a mini Mk 23. I would more than likely buy a can for it as well. (I'm a TX resident.)

The best price I've found was Bud's Gun Shop. I know the mags are a little pricey, but that wouldn't turn me away from any gun. TIA!

They are very accurate and recoil  on it is fine. I'm sure you will like it.

I have both Mark23 and a Tactical

DAMN!!! I hate you!!! The Mark23 is my unicorn of pistols. I would give one of my nuts for one. I've just "talked it over" with the wife. I showed some pics, of the USP,  and she said it was a kick ass looking pistol. I haven't left yet and I already can't wait to get back!!!

Thanks for the post and pics!

Definitely get a can for it , it completes the weapon

also if you ever have a chance to fire a 23 you will buy one , I guarantee

I hate you too! That is easy to describe with one word: BADASS! And you're from Texas!

I am so tempted to trade my M4gery towards on...but, I already have an Bitone Tactical XD45, Bitone XD9SC, and a Colt XSE Govt. I have a RRA Midlength and a Stag M4gery amongst my other rifles, but I'm not trading those. Choices...

ETA: And you're in the USAF.

This post makes me smile

Once you have the USP, you'll prolly never touch your XD again.  I'd sell that and put it toward something more useful...like mags, ammo, or a can

i love em better than the std USPs...i prefer the threaded bbl and the match trigger (great trigger for what it is)

recoils about as smooth than my 1911s, but w/ a little more bite in my palm (h/w, my USP recoils like a PITA)

I was in the Air Force, things I learned there allow me me to afford the toys I have now.

I love mine!  It seems to have less recoil than a 5" 1911, which is probably because of the polymer frame absorbing recoil.

However, I'm still a 1911 fan at heart.
