Howdy, I'm currently HKless. A department I worked for a while back issued the USPC .40, which I was always very happy with (my current issue weapon is a M&P40 which I also love, but that is for a different forum). Obviously I had to give the HK back when I left, but I still have a bunch of USPC leather (and plastic) hanging around. I'd very much like to add a USPC or P2000 to the stable again. I'd be getting 9x19mm version. So, here is my question: Will a P2000 fit in holsters molded for the USPC. I see that the P2000 has an ambi slide stop. That looks like the only thing that would effect the fit as the trigger guards look the same. I'd really rather get the P2000, but with the several hundred dollars in leather and plastic I have hanging around in USPC holsters, I really need the pistol to fit. Anyone know one way or the other? Thanks, Landric |

I'm pretty sure a P2000 (and probably the SK) will fit in all USPc holsters. Before the P2000 was popular, holsters were marked for the USPc and it was hard to find a P2000 holster. But now USPc holsters are marked for the P2000, and P2000 holsters are marked for the USPc as well. I don't know whether or not the same holsters are being made and they are marking them differently, or if they made some small adjustment to the holster to make it fit the P2000 also. Like you said, the ambi-slide stop is the only thing to my knowledge that makes them significantly different in shape. Worse case scenario, you might have to force the P2000 in and out of the holster until it creates the room it needs. That'll be easy in the leather holster, but might require some sanding on the kydex one first. Even retention holsters such as the Blackhawk Serpa work for either one. I give you the green light |

I was thinking about getting a P2000 for a while. I currently have a USP C. I called Comp-Tac to see if both would fit my C.T.A.C. I was told I would need to send it back for remolding and then only the P2000 would fit it. Note, this may just be specific to that model of holster. |

Thanks for the responses. I figure that with the leather holsters it might be a matter of shoving it in and letting it sit. I have a Milt Sparks IWB I'm quite fond of, and I'd love to get to use it again. I bought a duty holster on e-bay that is marked for the P2000, so I figure that is not going to be a problem either way. The one I am concerned about is my Blade-Tech belt holster. I may just have to risk it, go with the P2000, and see how it turns out. I figure the Fobus paddle I have will fit the P2000, and if not, it is a cheapy holster anyway. The other leather I have, Safariland paddle and belt holsters I got from the PD, should fit the P2000 no problem with minimal stretching. Anyone know for sure about the Blade-Tech for the USPC and the P2000? Thanks, Landric |
