Okay...I know this is a wild chance and probably isn't the best place to post this, but has anyone seen a USP Expert in 9mm for sale anywhere recently?  The last one I found was on GunsAmerica but has since sold (that was months ago).  These things are getting darned hard to find and even more expensive as time passes when you do find them.

Any suggestions on sources would be appreciated.  (FYI...I have already tried Bachman, MLSECPRO, Fountain Firearms, and all the usual online auction/classified sites without luck).

Thanks,

Call Bugs-n-Bullets @ (406) 782-6251. They're good folks & have the best prices I've found.

Another tip of the hat to Big Bore for turning me on to them..............

Well, I heard back from Ray today.  No luck on the 9mm.  He can get the 40, but not the 9mm.

Anybody else have any outlets for an Expert 9mm?  (anybody got one they want to part with?!?!). :)

Thanks again for the heads-up, Bob.

I'm looking for an Expert .40, how much did they quote you?  And why are the Expert 9mm harder to find that .40 or .45?  Are they more accurate in 9mm?  Did you try www.gunbroker.com    Good luck with your searches

I asked the question on HK's website.  They will not be in the future, nor have they in a while, importing any more 9mm Experts.

There were not many imported in the past, and they have been scarce as hens teeth.

Who cares???? Well with the price of ammo going through the roof, the 9mm seems like a better alternative if you shoot alot.

That's odd, I would have thought they could get anything H&K..........

These things must really be hard to find............

I buy the Wal Mart, Winchester White Box ammo.  100 of 9mm ammo is around $14 and the .40 is close to $20.  And yes, if you like to shoot alot the 9mm is better...However, is the 9mm better all around to shoot than the .40?  I'd would like to get a .40 but if the 9mm is better/funner to shoot...might as well start looking for that.  The main problem is I live in that great pro-gun state CA and I'm not even sure if HK sling shots are legal right now!

Thanks!

Good luck finding a NIB HK Expert 9mm anywhere that someone wants to part with. Good luck finding a LNIB for sale. Many are being fired in matches and are being run hard. You want a LNIB or better for a collectible pistol. If you ever find one make certain you have all the small factory parts that came with them from the factory. I believe HK stopped importing specifically the HK Expert 9mm in the summer/fall of 2004. Some of them came in aluminum factory briefcases. Most persons that have them don't give them up for anything. The 9mm Experts look more pleasing to the eye that its brother the elite 9mm. Put a want ad on HKPRO.COM or Sturmgewehr.com and see what happens. They are very nice pistols and if you ever get a hold of one don't ever sell it for any amount. Good luck with your hunt as you will need it.

I have not seen an Expert 9mm for sale in a LONG time!  I use to have an elite, and if you do not mind the look, it shoots just as well.  Glad I got mine new about a year ago!

About a year ago I picked up a perfect condition, NIB (or I guess new in case) Expert 9mm with factory installed jet funnel, 2 18-round mags, Merkle Tuning matchweight, and all included accessories/manual/soft case for right around $1500. Seemed a little spendy to me at the time but I couldn't remember the last time I had seen one for sale. The internals are untouched, but frame and slide look slightly customized (frame has a couple areas that look to be polished in some way, the outside of the extractor is polished, and the slide is more of a mirror black finish than other HK's I've seen.

I've actually kept it in the safe since it was purchased, it is still completely unfired except for the factory test of course. I didn't know if I would be able to get another one and I haven't seen one for sale since.

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about the trigger, so I put a snap cap in... UNBELIEVABLY smooth double action pull and extremely crisp break.

If I was ever to sell it honestly I wouldn't even consider anything less than twice what I paid. I think pretty much everyone has a price though, just depends how motivated the buyer is

NOT $3K worth of motivated!!  Hell, the Merkel match weights are selling for nearly $400 if you can find one on this side of the pond.  That alone is worth the additional price consideration.  Nah, I'd hang on to that one if I were you!!

I have a lead on one...but the seller isn't sure he's willing to part with it or not.  Local guy who doesn't shoot much anymore, but has a host of really choice items.  I'll keep after him and in the meantime, keep looking.

Haha yeah I wouldn't pay 3K for one either, they are pretty pricey to begin with! I wish I could find another one at some point, I like the idea of having a user and a backup.

Good luck with your search, you never know when one might pop up on one of the auction sites for a decent price if your other lead doesn't pan out.
