I was looking for some trigger options for my full size .40 and noticed one from midway. Anyone had experience with this? Is it 110 dollars better than the standard trigger? thanks! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y288/AirmanJeff/BA6installed3.jpg |
| Get ready to spend some more if you want all the match trigger has to offer. While many will tell you it is a "drop in" part, it is not. In every single case where I have heard of problems with the match trigger it has been after people have "dropped it in" themselves. To make sure it is set up correctly and will give you all it has to offer, let HK put it in or an HK certified armorer. I am not one to say that HK or some armorer is the only person to work on your pistol. If doing a spring change, detent plate or control lever change, I think you are nuts to pay good money for someone else to do it for you when those jobs are so incredibly simple. Just dropping in the match trigger will more than likely result in you getting what you want, but if not, be aware that they really do need to be fitted. So if you have any trouble or it does not seem as nice as the match trigger on the Tac in the store, send it off to HK and let them set it up for you. It will be money well spent. IMO the match trigger kit is the best thing you can do to your USP to improve its shootability. |
Listen to this man. The match trigger on my USP9 is GREAT. I love it. And the Trigger job Bruce Gray did for my USPc9 is just as nice for my carry piece. |

Thanks for the replies, this forum is great. I think I will go ahead and buy it, then hide my credit card statement. h |
I would like to have an estimate also. Anyone have this done that wouldn't mind sharing what they paid? Thanks. |

Bruce's work is not appropriate for a carry gun. He does top notch work but it's geared towards competition not carry. Not his fault its the HK design. You'll get a smooth 2lb trigger with no SA. He'll tell you himself it's not ideal for a defensive handgun. On a side note I've had HK install (don't do it yourself) match triggers on every HK i've got that will accept them. Still not a tuned 1911 trigger but loads better than stock. Rumor has it the Match trigger will fit the USPc45 if you reuse the original trigger. I'm looking into that right now. |
Do have the contact site,or number where I can reach him.I have the USP Tactical and I think that the match trigger sucks IMHO.I hate it.I think the trigger weight is way too much and has too much reset.I am Selling it in the EE unless I can get some one to do a really good trigger job on it. |
