Removed the light - don't like it, I like the pure format of the carry gun HK CC9 and p365X by Solo__, on Flickr |

I’ve had mine to the range twice now and approaching 500 rounds. The ergos on it is great. The gun never moves around in my hand requiring grip adjustments like I’ve experienced with some other slimline guns, I haven’t had any hot spots on my hands after either shooting session, and the gun points very naturally. I haven’t noticed the less snappy recoil than other slimline guns like others have reported. It feels about the same as most everything else does that I’ve shot in it’s class. It’s well controlled due to the ergos so maybe it’s perceived as less recoil. So far I’m impressed with it. I’ll probably let my other two slim pistols go down the road and purchase a second CC9 when another comes available. |

I would be interested in testing that assertion, but alas. Although I'd wager it's probably not far off the thickness of this one, and it's not awkward either: https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/58237/hk_p7_jpeg-3358952.JPG ( A P7M8 grip is 1.15 wide.) I'd wager you'd hit your target much more accurately with the P7, though. |

Glad to hear CC9 is getting a good reception here. I picked one up early this winter for $599, not sure how I pulled that off. There is some chatter on Pistol-forum.com about some perceived lack of accuracy, some shooters claiming they can’t get better than 5” groups at 25 yards. IMO this pistol delivers its intended role implied in its name. But, wondering if anyone is seeing any accuracy challenges at 25 yards? |

The made in Germany 1.5 stack (SFP9CC) is modular and comes standard with paddle release. So its absolutely physically possible for the CC9. While I prefer paddle to mitigate risk of dropped mags, the American consumer has shown time and again a bias against them and a preferance for button release (See the evolution of PPS M1 vs 2, P99-PPQ-PDP, etc) ![]() "Variants of the SFP9CC already planned include optics-ready versions. Agreed. Small difference is aesthetics, but to me it looks a lot cleaner. I also think its a plausible PPK replacement for James Bond. |

I will tell you however, my shots were dead on at 10 yards - surprising grouping- I mean surprising. Also - I shot back to back the above handguns with same or extremely close felt recoil (didn't expect) Originally Posted By voyager3: Smart move to label your holsters! What brand is the CC9 holster? Very dissapointed. Mine is throwing horrible groups at distances beyond 20 yards. I noticed that when looking at my red dot while pressing the trigger, the tigger mechanism is putting pressure on the poorly mated slide to frame, and causing slide movement enough to affect accuracy. |

Not just you unfortunately. There is a big thread on the CC9 over on PF with several shooters reporting ~5" at 25 yards, confirmed as in-spec by HK. I still like mine and plan on carrying it, but it's something I'm following to see how it develops. |

I still like mine and plan on carrying it, but it's something I'm following to see how it develops. It's a close range defensive weapon. I can't imagine having to shoot someone, out to 25 yards, in self defense. In either case, 5 inches at 25 yards are still good face shots if you can pull it off. At 25 yards, I wouldn't expect much velocity wise from such a short barrel. Heck, I wouldn't even bother taking the shot. If someone wants a competition gun, they should buy a competition gun. |

H&K P2000 SK Glock 43X Glock 26 Smith &Wesson CSX Sig 938 Kahr PM9 Sig P365 Ruger LCP Max None of these are even remotely considered competition grade and are all the compact pistols I've carried that shoot more accurately than the H&K CC9. To pay over $600.00 for a pistol whose company's slogan is "No Compromise" and shoots no better than a Jennings, Raven, Bryco, or Hi-Point is a stinging slap in the face to the customers like myself that have relied and enjoyed H&K's reliability and accuracy for many years across many of their products and shooting platforms. I admit that I made an error in purchasing this pistol based on H&K's reputation for quality. I just hope that this feedback on this forum might help someone decide whether or not to buy this gun and I certainly hope those of you that also own one have better performance from yours. |

Like I said I still plan on carrying mine and enjoying it, and am not too bothered personally. At the same time I think it's an interesting data point especially since reports on pre-release guns showed about 3" at 25 IIRC. Being an HK fan I'm curious if this was a deliberate choice to favor reliability or something else. |

I shoot mine just as accurate as most of my iron sight striker pistols, I don’t notice any accuracy issues so it’s obviously not all of them or you just don’t shoot it well. If you don’t like it you shouldn’t have any issue selling it and breaking even. Much better solution to your disappointment than complaining on the internet. |

I have the last one in my shopping cart at Rooftop and am *incredibly* happy I saw this thread, saved me about 700. |

So you’re going to base your entire opinion on one persons experience who may not just be able to shoot for a shit? LOL I’m sure the next guy wanting one will appreciate you leaving it behind for such a silly reason. |
|
There are plenty of videos on YouTube with satisfying accuracy at several distances. Tens of videos. It's frankly strange to see indignation for a handgun that has passed test after test in the hands of many reviewers, as if a single experience should be projected over the entire product and the totality of items out there - from a namely reputable company. |

It gave me pause to do further research and look into it more as opposed to blindly trusting HK, which is frankly what I’ve always done because issues like this don’t occur with HK. Of the 15 or so I’ve owned over the years, accuracy has *never* been a concern. Any modern gun that can’t hold 3” or better groups at 25 yards is of zero interest to me. Of course this is with quality ammunition. I’m not in any hurry to get one, but was planning on grabbing one, and got the stock notification from Rooftop. So yes, I’ll definitely look further into this. |

I’m pretty sure that sounds even worse. Let’s assume the feedback is accurate, he actually owns the gun he claims and isn’t just saying negative things on the internet and he is actually a good shooter and he’s shooting the gun well and the gun just isn’t accurate… I guarantee you that every factory gun that you own or have owned that you haven’t had a problem with they have put out a lemon that someone else had a negative experience with. You would probably dismiss others negative experiences with the same gun based on your positive experiences. Human psychology sure is a funny thing. |

F'ing screw broke when I was installing my SF WML. Trying to figure out how to get it off now. ETA: 7/16" drill bit and drill it out. I'll be doing a warranty claim with SureFire. |
