Provide your observations from different ammo fired from VP9SK.

Have 147 +P,  anyone shot these?  Were they abusive and hard to control?  I also  have 115 +P, both used in full size pistol.

Which ammo does your VP9SK prefer?  Will use for CCW, once proven reliable.

Thanks

I've shot 147 grain +P in mine, it's a thumper but not unbearable.

Anyone shoot Speer 124 gold dots standard or +P?

Ever experience fail to feed, fire or extract?

Do you prefer the extended floor plate?  I wear extra large gloves and flat magazine may be a two finger affair.

Speer Gold Dot 124+Ps work fine as well.

+1

No problems reliability or accuracy wise with the 147 +P.
My previous CCW was an XDs 3.3 in 45acp so even the +P rounds are a step down in the recoil department.

Never had any issues with my vp9sk.  I've got 2 regular VP9 and had a mag worth of issues with one of them but that's because I failed to clean and lube it first before shooting it right out of the box.

As far as the pinky extension goes, Ive never really liked a gun I couldn't get all my fingers on the grip but I bought the SK because I could with the pinky extension mag.  In shooting it with the flat mag it shot surprisingly well with my fingers hanging off the end.  With that said I carry it with the pinky mag and then a full size 15 round back up mag.  Thought I heard HK was coming out with some new extended mags for them but haven't seen anything yet.

While I have no time on the sk, I have tens of thousands of rounds through USP 9's, P30 9's and VP9's in competition, amd training (both LE & CCW). In my experience over many different pistols, HK's tent to shoot 124gr hot ammo best. My favorite being 124gr +P HST & Gold Dot. I routinely shoot to 200 yards with my HK pistols and 115 and 147 just doesn't come close to the precision I get with 124gr stuff.

My VP9SK handled 124 grain +P Gold Dots just fine. They were a little less snappy than the 147 grain +Ps I tried. They would be a good choice.

124Gr. +P Gold Dot for the Win. Best Overall. I use it in everything 9mm we have. Plenty of weight for Longer Barrels and +P for velocity in Shorter Barrels.

The 147 HST I had for testing Was thumpy as said above. BUT to me 124 gr. is just easier to stock for everything in Our inventory.
(Our Inventory is Glock 43, Glock 19, 2 HK VP9SK's)

ALSO the Glock 19 is the wife's gun.

So I run all kinds of range brass 115 grain through the sk (approx 1000 rounds so far)....and now have 150 rounds of Fed HST 124gr with no hiccups. I don’t feel any difference, but can hear the thump.

On the HKPARTS site there are two pinky plates that provide +1 or +2 bullets.

I've only fired 115 FMJ's so far. These were on sale at Walmert for .18 per (Federal brand).   I just bought some Hornady Critical Defense 135's.  Will shoot them soon after getting them.

As for the pinky plate, I use these most of the time.  Will use the non-pinky mag for CC, less printing.

Mine does very well with Federal 124gr Hydra-Shoks; accurate and very controllable.

I've been carrying this since September.  Shot everything from Perfecta 115 ball to HST 147 + P.  Currently carrying HST 147.

Not 1 single issue in over 600 rounds.  Just getting started but this is an accurate little pistol.
