I got an email from PSA about a "scratch and dent" sale (display guns, still new, just displayed models), and there was a 9mm USP Expert on there for $799, I couldn't say no. I wanted a standard USP, but they were all already gone.
Heads up, there were several other HKs left, I saw a P2000 V3 9mm for $499 and a P30SK LE for $499 too. Edit: Its here! And its spotless! So much for "scratch and dent" Not a mark on it, anywhere.

the expert is so nice. I shoot it better than any other pistol I have. Runner up/challenger is my dan wesson specialist
date code? The barrel and slide are hand fitted.

Damn, they have their VP9T back up for 550 as well... I was supposed to be buying a P30L this week but I'm having a hard time not moving on the VP9 Tactical...

I got a chance to hit the range yesterday morning really quickly. Took the new Expert and my newly reworked old USP from my other thread.
As good as the old USP is, the Expert is still noticeably better. Someone said it elsewhere, that the Expert feels like you're cheating, it's that easy to shoot well. Crazy accurate, very low recoil, and that match trigger  . I had been contemplating trying to trade the Expert for a Tactical once it arrived, because thats the model I really wanted, but it's not going anywhere now!
I do have a front night sight coming, since I don't like plain black front sights, but I'm not swapping out the rear, I like the serrated sight. |

For years my everyday carry has been the HK P9S. It is still by far the most accurate, easy and instinctive shooting pistol I have had the pleasure of owning or shooting. Last week my VP9 Tactical arrived. Size wise it won't make my every day carry, but it is a very close second to the P9S for ease of use, low recoil and all out fun to shoot.

That was a great score! I just ordered a USP Expert in .45acp for $900 today which I felt is a fair price.
