So I've got a small set of springs (hooray christmas!) to throw at my 45CT sometime for a slight trigger improvement, but I'm not sure where to take the gun for it.
Is this something any good gunsmith should be able to do, or do I need an HK certified smith? Or is there someone I should ship my pistol to for the installation? Also, while that's being done, is there anything else I should have looked at or taken care of? I've done some searching, but there's not as much information out there on these as there is on a glock or such as far as modifying or tweaking goes. Edit: The gun's had a few hundred rounds through it so far (around 400-550ish), and will be getting more before a trigger job. EDIT: From NM_desert_rat's helpful direction, I was able to get the job done. New match sear spring, trigger return spring, and firing pin block spring are all in. The little bit of grit that was in the trigger is gone, the trigger as a whole is smoother, and the single action feels slightly lighter. Function and safety working as they should. |

The springs aren't that hard to change out yourself. It looks like you're right, so I'm working on it now. Also forgot I could change back straps, so I swapped to the larger one and my comfortable gun just became even more wonderful to hold. Quoted:The trigger return spring can be a pain in the ass sometimes but other than that it's no big deal. I'm glad you're right that I can change them myself, but oh, oh boy, I wish you weren't so right on this. That's the only one I've got done so far (next up is firing pin block and enhanced match sear spring), and it took nigh 30min. if the next two are easier then this should save me a fair bit of money. Thank you! |
