what are my options for giving my fullsize USP 45 a little better grip. Slip on choices?

Slip on grips are gross.

This, in my experience in texas heat the grip would move easily.

Threw the grip sleeve away.

I don't feel the need to use
them on my USP's, but I do
use the rubber Talon grips
on my Gen 4 Glocks to tone
down polymids.

the checkering is sharp but what I don't like are the flat sides of the grip. the size doesn't bother me, just that it's flat on the sides.

Yeah, instead of feeling like a square block, it just felt like a fatter block with squishy corners.  I also don't like the possibility of the slip on grip sliding up and possibly blocking the release lever.  I don't believe I've ever heard of this happening in the real world, but I don't want to be the guy that proves it really happens at the worst moment possible.

Grip decals are nice...come in rubber and sand texture.

My USP .40 is my nightstand pistol. I've got a Hogue slip on grip, and it works out pretty well.

Typically if I'm going to the range, I'm running 300 rounds through it just to make it worth my while. I do feel the difference as I get closer to the end. Not just the wear and tear on my hands, but it does help with the overall comfort in my grip. I like it, but YMMV, though.
