I recently purchased an "old new stock" USP .45 Compact magazine from an auction site.

Magazines sold as "used" but appears to be unused, although there was no packaging, just the loose mag.

It looks identical to my other mags, except the base plate is a hard plastic, and my other USP mags have a soft plastic base.

Is this an older magazine? It is marked H&K in all the right places, and I don't think people would be counterfeiting magazines, but it made me wonder........

Thanks!!

My Compact mags are all older models & they all have the hard plastic base plate.

Pics would help us better help you with info, IMO.

I have a mix of USP Compact 45 mags and some are hard plastic and others are soft. It just depends if it's a HK45C or a USP 45C on mine, both are excellent. No one in the world is going to counterfeit a mag for a gun that is so hard to find enough HK people that actually own one As long as it's marked mad in Germany and feels like an HK metal mag your good. I had a few USP fullsize 9mm mags that were not marked like my original mags and they had me scratching my head. There pretty junk feeling compared to glock mag since they are all plastic construction.

Thanks guys!

The markings all look good, so I'm gonna go with it being a bona fide mag.

I gave $40.00 for it, so I think it was a decent buy.

I believe Pro Mag makes USP mags & they're junk. But they won't say "H&K" on them, IIRC.
