Can anyone recommend the best suppressor for the USP 9mm.  I know about the AA and the Gemtech but what else is out there?  What are the pros and cons of use with handgun suppressor?  Are they quiet?  I have an M4 2000 and it is pretty quiet compared to a normal .223 shot.

CCF also makes the Impuls with 9MM internals. In fact, the tubes are marked 9MM, .40 and .45. I have not tried the 9MM version but I can vouch for the .45 version and CCf's customer support.

I use a SWR HEMS on my HK 45 Tactical. I've heard good things about their 9mm suppressors as well.

I want to tack onto this thread:  What are the better options out there for a USP40 tactical?  Price is not really a big deal.  Of course i'm not going insane on one, but I want something good quality, durable, and easy to maintain with good customer service.  For those of you out there with one already, just how much perceived suppression can you describe?  All thoughts and ideas are welcome.  Thanks for the help.

My experience thus far has been that Advanced Armament makes a great suppressor.  It is well made, highly functional, easy to use and clean, and a lifetime warranty.  However, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.  Gemtech, on the other hand, has just as good of suppressors, and excellent customer service.  As to the degree of suppression that you would find on a .40 I couldn't tell you.  I don't know much else about the different kinds of suppressors, but I find alot of people tend to skip the Coke and Pepsi of Advanced Armament and Gemtech, and go with companies like SWR.

+1

What you want to do is get the HEMS 45 , this way all you have to do is buy the Nielsen like compensating device from SWR for $50 for the .40 or .380 long. Meaning, the HEMS 45 can works perfectly for the .45, .40, and .380 long (i.e. 9mm); all you have to do is switch out the Nielsen compensating device when switching to a different barrel. However, if you buy the .380 long can you are screwed in that you cannot use it for a .40 or .45 barrel.

Call and talk with SWR about it,

They be pimps,P.S. Their cans are bit more money than AA, Gemtech, and AWC; but IMHO they are worth every penny.

Another vote for SWR.
I own one of Joe's Omega units and it is tops!
