Does the HK P2000SK LEM trigger have a long trigger pull on every trigger pull? Or just the first one?
If it's long on every trigger pull, would the DA/SA be better because you have short trigger pulls after the first? |

Quoted:
The trigger pull will be long and extremely heavy if the hammer assembly is not cocked. Once the hammer is cocked, the trigger pull will still be long but smooth and light. Isn't that how the V3 DA/SA trigger is? So it's basically a DA/SA without a decocker? |

So it's basically a DA/SA without a decocker? NO... The hammer is fully cocked once you rack the slide (and can't be decocked). When you drop the hammer on an empty chamber or misfire, the trigger can be re-squeezed without racking the slide which will cock the hammer from fully forward to fully cocked(smooth and light pull). The pull will always be smooth and light round after round. |

The da/sa has a heavy first pull and light pull 2nd shot onwards. Have you handled a Walther P99? The P99 is similar to the LEM except that the P99 can't be recocked unless you rack the slide. |

Thanks, never handled a P99. So the LEM has a long first trigger pull and short trigger pull from round 2 onward but has consistent light trigger pull throughout? Which version of the LEM is most popular or best V1 V2 or V4? Thinking about one for conceal carry, not sure if I should go LEM or DA/SA... I have Sigs, so I'm kind of used to the DA/SA. |

Let me try to explain one more time... The heavy pull that I'm talking about is just one of the mechanical features that it just happens to have. It is made to be fired from the cocked position which has a light pull whether the first or last round. Not sure which version is the most common but the only differences between those three is the force of the trigger pull and forward reset. |

When I first dry fired the LEM, I hated it as it felt like a toy. I've shot many DA/SA guns which is most of my experience. The LEM is growing on me the more I shoot it. |

Better to get opinions from multiple people rather than just one. I bought mine used which has the LEM trigger installed but came with the DA/SA/safety in a baggy. |

OP My concealed carry guns are......
HK P2000SK Light LEM approx 4.5lbs.and HK45C LEM V-TGS ( which is slightly heavier than the light set-up different trigger return spring) I have extensive experience with the LEM trigger system let me explain: In normal use ( ie: when the slide has been racked internal hammer is cocked and a round is in the chamber ) you will have a 1. Long Light Trigger Travel up-take until the trigger breaks IF you shoot from reset there will be NO initial up-take travel only a nice light break IF you let the trigger all the way back out it will start from #1 again. 2.If for some reason you were to have a mis-fire you have the ability to have a Second Strike which starts from an un-cocked hammer position and would be the same trigger pull weight as the DA pull on a V3 DA/SA trigger. |
