I had the opportunity to put a couple boxes thru a Tactical .45 with a CCF carbon fiber can installed today.
Overall we were impressed with this combo. Excellent accuracy and reliability. The booster system that the supressor uses works very well with a variety of ammo. Sound supression seemed very good for a .45 can. I would like to compare this to other current models. Sound levels were much less that a Ruger MK2 pistol (.22) fired beside the USP, especially when observed from a short (50 yard) distance.
The speed that the can cooled off at was amazing. Firing a couple mags rapid fire, you could still handle the can with no problems. Also, the installation of the can didn't shift point of impact appreciably. Seems to be a good system.
Anybody else have experience, especially long term with this unit?

Have you tried Larry's coolant and lube?  They have gotten very good reports over at HKPRO.com for making an already quiet can even more quiet.
Larry's CF can has only been out a year but so far there have been no reports of any problems with it that I have heard about.  Larry did extensive R&D before it was introduced to the market and he put more rounds through his test cans than most people will ever put through them in a life-time.  The standard Impulse IIA is quite a can, and the CF seems to be the cherry on the ice-cream.  Who would have thought just a few years ago you could run 100 rounds through a can as fast as you can pull the trigger and reload then grab the can with your bare hand and not get burned.  Ain't technology wonderful?

Yes, in fact he includes a sample of the lube with each can. It did work very well, exactly as advertized. I will try it in another can this weekend, hopefully.
The tech involved is indeed impressive.

I've been using the Implus for about a year now (the regular one non-cf), I'd suggest you always run it wet its quieter and I've ran it dry for awhile and the baffles are near impossible to get out.
But its a great can that I've never had a FTF in my USPT, however I've only gone thru about 5k rounds, but thats gonna change over the next couple of years....
