| Is it possible to replace the sights on a USP without buying the 200$ sight tool? |
|
Yes, it's very possible. I changed the sights on my USP tactical 3 times.
You would need a vise to hold the slide, (some have used 2 pieces of wood to hold each side of the slide in the vise to prevent marring) brass punch or wooden dowels, brass hammer and lots of patience. Be careful when using the brass punch and make sure you only hit the base of the sights to knock it off the dovetail. Same with installing the new ones. PS. The stock sights are easy to get off, but installing new sights might require you to dremel / sand some of the material off the bottom for it to fit in the dovetail. Good Luck Lots of good info here: Installing sights on USP |
