I sent my USP45 to HK on Monday.  I received it back today.  I was shocked it was such a quick turnaround.  They replaced a broken firing pin (the reason I sent it back), recoil spring, trigger return spring, and a new barrel.  Apparently, the barrel was out of spec.

Anyway, I'm very happy with the customer service.  I know with any company the bad experiences get more attention than the good.  I thought I would share mine.

Did they charge you for the barrel?

No.  On the summary they sent it was listed as an anomaly on the barrel.  Warranty covered it, I guess it was not normal wear.  Honestly, I don't think I would have paid to replace the barrel.  The gun was very accurate, and I've had no reliability issues.

Thats awesome to hear.  Hopefully they are adopting the glock philosphy of refurbishing guns brought in at no expense.

Couple years ago another Marine gave me an HK magazine with a broken floor plate. It had been used in iraq a few times and was still dusty.

A call to HK and a new floorplate was on it's way.

How's that for customer service?
