i just purchased a colt python357 for $500 from a friend, but when i  look it over the rear sight elevation pin appears to be little over sized. it bent the top of the frame where the pin goes in its not cracked but it is bulging slightly. i was wondering if the pin hole can be filled then re drilled or something like that. do you think colt can fix the problem?

I just looked at my Python and at best as I can tell that pin hole is less than 1/16".

Send it to  Colt, there are very few things that a gunsmith can do to a Python better than Colt can.

thanks for the info, i called colt they said it would cost $ 185  to look at it and return. that's 155 to start  then 30 to return to me. I'm going to have it refinished too i think.
